Here's how to clean micro fibre fabric the right way:

- Vacuum your lounge suite.
- Wipe down your lounge suite with a damp cloth. You want a damp cloth, not a wet one.
- Don't saturate the fabric, and rinse your cloth often.
- Allow the lounge suite to dry.
- Vacuum again.

HEALTHY COOKING TIPS
|
- Try to eat fish at least once a week - it's one of the healthiest and lowest-fat proteins around.
- Remove all excess fat from beef and lamb and remove the skin from chicken, because this is where most of the calories are hiding.
- When grilling or roasting, place the food on a rack over the roasting pan so that the fat can drip off during cooking.
- Steam vegetables in a colander over a pot of boiling water, so that all the nutrients aren't lost in the cooking water.
- Stir-fry veggies on a high heat with stock or water and a little oil.
- Sauté onions, garlic or meat in a little bubbling stock, wine or water instead of using oil or butter.

Cherry Tomato Bolognaise
Add colour and texture to your all-time favourite spaghetti bolognaise with halved cherry tomatoes and lots of fresh parsley
|
SERVES 4
Ingredients
- Olive oil for frying
- 1 large onion, finely chopped
- 3 cloves garlic, crushed
- 500g lean mince
- 1 tbsp tomato paste
- 1 x 410g can whole tomatoes
- 1/2 cup white wine (optional)
- 1 tsp sugar
- 1 tsp beef stock powder (heaped) or 2 cubes
- Salt and pepper to taste
- 10 cherry tomatoes, halved
- Handful of chopped parsley
Directions
- Heat oil in a pan. Sauté onion and garlic until glossy.
- Add mince and stir-fry, using a fork to separate lumps.
- When mince has browned, add tomato paste and tinned tomatoes, with their juice, wine, sugar and stock. Stir well, season and cook over a medium heat for about 30 minutes, adding a bit of water if mince sticks to pan.
- Five minutes before serving, stir in cherry tomatoes and parsley.
- Adjust the seasoning and serve with your favourite spaghetti or noodles.
